MEMBERS OF THE BUSINESS FORUM SADRC EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ARE COUNTING ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF MANDELA-LUMUMBA BUSTS

The members of the Executive Committee of SADRC Business Forum met this Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Hellenic Circle of Lubumbashi for a planning meeting.

Some highlights among many others were on the agenda, including the construction of busts of two personalities who marked the history of two countries, the DRC and the RSA, namely Messrs. Mandela and Lumumba, the scheduling of the general assembly on Friday, June 27, as well as the screening of the conference debate with the general management of the ARSP.

Speaking first, René Mozambe made a point of thanking the Forum members who had attended the last reception to present Consul Salomé.

Then, he gave the floor to the forum secretary, Mr. Philippe Muteba, to read the points agreed upon for the said meeting.

After exchanging and deliberating views among participants, they agreed on a deadline to meet again with the governor of Haut Katanga to definitively determine the location(s) for the construction of the statues, the presentation of the budget for these busts and at the same time to ask for his authorization for the construction of the Lumumba bust.

In short, the forum’s president, René Mozambe, urged everyone to settle their annual contributions. He emphasized that reminder letters outlining each member’s financial status would be sent out at the end of June.
