Mining News Group was created out of a clear gap I observed in how African mining is covered and understood.

Too often, Africa’s minerals are discussed purely in terms of global demand, while the political, economic, and social realities shaping extraction on the ground are overlooked. The Democratic Republic of Congo — one of the most resource-rich countries in the world — sits at the centre of this contradiction.

This platform is not about sensationalism or speed. It is about clarity, responsibility, and long-term thinking.
